Well, hello everybody. I've been gone for some time now. The last time I was on this site I was telling the world about how the cops here in North Kohala, on the Big Island of Hawaii are scared of Ice Heads (Meth. user's) or either they are protecting them. Well, guess what? They (the cops) had heard what I was doing, so they tapped into my internet service and started to follow along with what I was saying. And you know what? They didn't like it. So they got a whole S.W.A.T. Team together and they arrested me while I was making another blog draft. They even went as far as to claim that I was a national security risk and even had the Feds. in on it. They charged me with obstruction of police procedures, violating state security, slander and defamation with intent, and a few other things. So, I’ve been locked up for awhile.
The public defender wanted me to take a plea bargain. I said, “ Fuck you. You are my lawyer and you need to get me out of here. They have violated my first amendment rights by locking me up for exercising my freedom of speech.” I told him that the ACLU needed to be contacted and for them to represent me. He would not do it. So when I went to court I told the judge that my lawyer was not working in the best of my interest’s, and I fired him on the spot. She asked me why, and I told her that this was clearly a violation of my first and forth amendments, and that my lawyer refused to contact the ACLU. So she gave me another P.D. I told her that I would continue to fire my P.D.'s until I got one that would work with me on this. She must not have liked that because the next lawyer contacted the ACLU right away. But the judge put a gag order on the case, meaning that no one was to talk to the press about this case. She knew that the police were in the wrong and didn't want it to get out in the pubic. Well, what do you expect? It's an election year and she didn't want bad publicity.
Anyway, while I was in the slammer, I lost everything. My house, my job, almost all my possessions, my car and motorcycle. Now in this state the cops, prosecutors, and judges have immunity from being sued for wrongful arrest and convictions. Also, the drug dealers in there didn't like me and almost everyday I was in some kind of fight. It really was the first time I was locked up (I’ve been locked up a lot in my life and I’m not proud of it) where I had to literally fight for my life.
So anyway, the ACLU came, took the case, and I had all the charges dropped. I wanted the arrest record dropped too. But she (the judge) would not do that. Now I'm in the free world again, but I’m not free.
The police all across this state has heard about this and now I have been targeted by them. When they see me out on the street they stop me and search me and my things under the probable cause law. It's a form of legal harassment. The probable cause law was created for the cops to legally violate our civil rights.
I threw my other computer in the ocean and bought a new one. I don't have internet access at my new house and only use hotspots now. I am doing this blog entry as a draft in my home and I will go to a random hotspot and log on long enough to check my e-mail and up load this. I do not tell anyone where I live, and my new state I.D. has a different add. on it from my real one. I've changed my looks so it is harder for them (the cops) to spot me. I am a free man in a free country, but I feel like I’m a criminal on the run.
The U.S. Government wants to take total control over the internet and wants to shut down web sites from Wiki Leaks to small sites like this one. We are losing our rights in this country, especially our first amendment rights. The silent majority (meaning us, the people) have finally found a voice and it's called the internet and the government does not like that at all. They do not like people like me.
I am an American Veteran from the first gulf war and was in the Army for 6 years and was discharged as a Sgt. I am very proud of that fact. That's why I hate what is going on in this country right now. Every man, woman, and child right now is scrutinized as a strong potential threat to this government. Don't believe me? Look at how they treat you at the airports, government buildings, and even when you are a victim of a crime. I've said it before and I’ll say it again – I am more afraid of our police and government than I am of any terrorist group or terrorist attack – the chances of me being in a terrorist attack or coming across a terrorist is slim to none. But every time I fly or get involved with the police, I will be treated as a potential threat. And so will you and your loved ones.
When are we going to do something about this? How can the people just let this happen? One reason is peoples attitude. Most people's attitude is if it don't happen to them they just don't care. And I also believe that a good majority are actually scared of the police and government and don't want to get involved.
Mark my words, the day is coming when we have no more rights in this country. And you can thank that piece of shit George Bush for that. I had told my friends when Bush had bull dogged his way into office the first time that we were in a world of hurt. They just laughed at me. But ever since good ole George put himself in office, this country has fallen apart. Everything that is going on right now is a direct result of the Bush administration. The war, the economy, all the security, everything. We, the people are getting shat on everyday.
Now, I’m sure some of you are thinking, “Why doesn't he just move some place else?” And I’m sure that some of you are thinking that I’m just some crack pot. I am a war vet and I earned the right to live any place I want to. My daughter is in the Middle East on her fourth tour risking her life so WE ALL have the right to live where we want and my older brothers died in Vietnam for that right. To move away is not the answer to the problem. First people have to open their eyes and really see whats going on. Then people have to get involved at a grass roots level. We the people can do this if we just wake up, unite, and look around at whats happening instead of turning our back on it and hoping that it will go away or get better. But let me tell you, it will not get better if we don't and it will never go away if we don't.
How many other Americans have gone through what I’ve gone through? We will never know until they speak out.
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm all for strong national security. Believe me, we need it. But when every person in this country is scrutinized, well, to me that's just going to far. I don't like seeing little kids being treated as though they are a potential threat. And I don't like the way the cops treat innocent people. There is no such thing as community policing any more. Ah hell, I remember when you could walk up to a cop and strike up a friendly conversation. But not these days. Just walk up to a cop and see what he does. The first thing he will do is put his hand on his gun butt. Then he will tell you to stand back. And forget about talking about the weather with him. I've seen it happen to many times.
This country may be falling apart, but we still live in the greatest country in the world. But that, in it self, is fading away very fast.
I will do what I can to keep coming back and give you guys updates and other gripes as well. I'm glad that all of you are brave enough to come to this site and exercise your right to free speech. Good job and keep it up.
